Private Guitar, Bass, Drum and piano Lessons

Fairfield Ohio

All Ages Welcome

With over 10 years of teaching experience, we offer private music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.

Music is the Mission

From preparing for Fairfield Music Academy performances, developing songwriting skills, singing and playing guitar, preparing for an audition or simply learning your favorite songs, we keep our lessons relaxed and fun.

Fairfield Music Academy focuses on developing the student into a musician and not simply a music student.  We absolutely encourage parents to take part in our lessons.

Music Myths some adults have

I'm too old to start now.

Nope, FMA has students in their 50's 60's and 70's.

I have no musical talent.

No one is ever hopeless. As long as the student has the will, we'll get there.

I have to read music to play an instrument.

Reading music is not necessary for most applications, but we can teach you as much or as little about reading music and music theory as you choose.

Ry is a great instructor. Young or older at heart he is willing to share his knowledge of music. I started when I turned 55 and I have been enjoying guitar since. Ry is teaching my grandson now he started at 10 on drums and has him playing guitar also. In a few yearsi will be taking my other 2 grandchildren. I would recommend Fairfield Music Academy. You’re never to old to learn.

An amazing musician! Extremely knowledgeable in multiple instruments. We started with guitar for my daughter and he gave so much information that she soaked up like a sponge thanks to his fun attitude and enjoyable way of teaching. We now are doing drum lessons for my son also. In the beginning the noise bothered him due to sensory issues, but Ry broke through all that and got him loving the sound that he makes and has him drumming to beats all his own, as well as beats to other songs. So glad we found Fairfield Music Academy!

Awesome place! The teacher has a remarkable way of bringing forth gifts and talents in my Granddaughter. Love this place and what it has to in store for my baby.

Ry is an amazing teacher. He is super fun to be around. My daughter had been taking lessons for over a year and has done great with Ry.

Great musician and an innovator in both electronic and acoustic drums.

The fine print

Make-Up/Cancellation Policy for Private Music Lessons

If a student must cancel a lesson, it is to be done at least 24 hours before the lesson, or the lesson is forfeited. We understand that illnesses are unexpected, but we are still responsible to pay rent for the room if we are scheduled to use it. If a student is ill, please do not come to the lesson. It is the student's or parent's responsibility to contact the teacher if a lesson is to be missed and also arrange for any make-up lesson if a time is available.

Once a single lesson or lesson block of 4 is completed, it is assumed that lessons will continue at the same scheduled time the following week. A weeks notice is requested to inform the teacher that the student intends to discontinue taking lessons. Teachers will provide students with contact phone numbers and email addresses. Communication between students and teachers is important.
